Rice and Ofada

When you talk about Nigerian native stew, the Ofada stew happens to be the number one in everybody’s list. It is a unique and super tasty stew that no one can get tired of.
The stew when done rightly, almost have this addictive taste that keeps you wanting for more.
However, most people do not know how to make this special stew. Enoquin sent in the recipe for the Ofada stew, it is pretty easy and now you can make it at home.

INGREDIENTS:

Boiled Rice
Beef or goatmeat
4 Green Peppers
4 tatase
10 Fresh pepper
I large onion bulb
Locust bean (Iru)
Ground Crayfish
Knorr
Palm Oil

DIRECTIONS

Season the beef with onion, pepper, salt and a cube of knorr.

Strain the meat from the stock

Remove the seeds from the green pepper, tatase

Blend all green pepper, tatase, fresh pepper and onion

Cook the blended pepper till it’s dry

Bleach palm oil in a new pot

Add the dried pepper to the bleached oil and stirfry till it’s dry

Add the ground crayfish and locust bean and continue frying

Season with the last knorr cube

Add the cooked meat and allow to simmer for 5-10mins on low heat

Serve with rice
